Our initial install was with QB 2015, and we later upgraded to QB 2019.Ī fresh install of QB 2019 on a fresh, unpatched Server 2016 Core vm didn’t resolve the issue, but a fresh install of QB 2019 on a fresh Server 2016 Desktop vm worked just fine. It seems to be an incompatibility between 2016 (perhaps others) Core and QB 2019 at least that breaks Database Server Manager. So, this may not have been the specific update that caused the problem but just one that made the problem apparent. News widget should be gone from your taskbar and Alt-Tab will start working again.
